But don't bother to spend money on newspaper ads. They just don't work. You need large fliers with pictures of your work to post on bulletin boards and leave in offices etc. Oh... and yes you must be able to give clients estimates. But... never put your prices on your advertising material. Every job is different and will require a good price structure. Yes Ray… you need to advertise yourself and your business. Until you have those three things in place... don't even think about anything else. You must make sure you are entirely legal in your city, county and state. Before you paint in anyones home or office protect yourself. You must have business insurance... again protect yourself. Just because you can paint... doesn't make you a pro!
