    Hi Sharon…

I find almost everything I need at the local big box hardware stores.

I use pretty standard materials and equipment.

Some of my specialty supplies come from craft stores… I always wait for a sale. :)

    Hi there,

I’m an avid artist i’ve painted cartoons and comics characters on relatives and friends walls. they have loved my work and would love to start my own buisness with it, i can paint scenes, ocean life, as well as kiddies characters. I just need to know the basics of starting out, How do i start securing jobs. i’d normally take between 3 to five days on a whole wall.

Get Professional! That’s the biggest hurdle for new painters. Before you will start to get consistent jobs… you will need a portfolio, business cards and sales fliers. Until you have those three things in place… don’t even think about anything else.

You must make sure you are entirely legal in your city, county and state. Before you paint in anyones home or office protect yourself.

You must have business insurance… again protect yourself.

Just because you can paint… doesn’t make you a pro! Really… you have to look and act like a professional painter!

Then… and only then… should you hit the streets.
